The Poolskim sanded insert is used where an aimflow's thread is damaged in such a way the the standard Poolskim insert with bung cannot be used. 
The sanded insert is hammered into the aimflow and then the bung gets hammered into the Poolskim insert assisting the sanded insert to grip on the inside of the aimflow.
